The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun accepting registration for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023). Candidates can submit their NEET UG application form 2023 until April 6, 2023. The NEET UG exam 2023 will take place on May 7 in 485 cities.


According to Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act of 2019, the NEET (UG) must be administered as a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions. Similarly, according to Section 14 of the National Council for Indian System of Medicine Act of 2020, there would be a consistent NEET for admission to undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines, which means BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses in the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions authorized by this Act. NEET would also be required for admission to BHMS programs as per National Commission for Homeopathy Act, 2020.


MNS (Military Nursing Service) aspirants who wish to enroll in the BSc Nursing Program being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2023 need to clear the NEET exam. The NEET result will be used to shortlist candidates for the four-year BSc Nursing program.


NEET OVERVIEW


The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), now known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), of the Government of India (GOI), founded the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustaining premier testing body for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standard exams to assess candidates' competency for admission to premier higher education institutions. 


The NEET consists of 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (four possibilities with a single correct answer). The duration of the exam will be 03 hours 20 minutes. NEET question paper 2023 will be accessible in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

  • Applicants can only use the website's (https://neet.nta.nic.in/) "Online" mode to apply for NEET (UG) 2023

  • You can submit the online application form by visiting the NTA website (https://neet.nta.nic.in/). Any other manner of submission of the application form will be rejected.

  • A candidate is only allowed to submit one application.

  • The instructions provided in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website must be properly followed by candidates. Applicants who do not follow the rules will be automatically disqualified. Applicants must make sure that the email address and mobile number they submit in the online application form are their own or solely those of their parents or guardians, as NTA will only provide information/communications to the registered e-mail address or SMS to the registered Mobile Number.

  • All candidates are expected to upload address proof (Present & permanent address) during the online application of NEET (UG) 2023. The address proof may include a Voter ID card, AADHAAR Card, Passport, Domicile Certificate, etc. Both documents (if applicable) are to be combined and uploaded as one PDF file. If your current and permanent addresses are the same, then the same document will be sufficient.





ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 


  • NEET is mandatory for Indian/Overseas candidates for admission to a medical University in India

  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit for NEET is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for the NEET exam.

  • All India Quota seats: Foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), NRIs, and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) is entitled to the reservation under 15% All India Quota seats. Candidates from J & K are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats

  • Qualification: Those who are pursuing or have completed the 12th grade may apply for NEET. Their admittance is only verified after they pass the 12th grade exam.

  • Number of Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts for the NEET exams. Candidates can attempt NEET as many times as they wish.
